Ahhhh I have not blogged since last year! I'm disappointed in myself because I said I would keep up with this blog as much as I could... it's just hard when you're a senior in high school... with a job... and applications and deadlines to keep up with. Anyways, I solemnly swear I will blog more often as soon as the rest of my college applications are in. And for those of you interested... I just sent my second application last night to my dream school, Pratt in Brooklyn, NY. Fingers crossed, I really hope I get in and start my life in fashion. I also applied to Montclair State University, but it isn't one of my top choices. I still have two more applications to send out to Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and I'm still debating on my last choice of school.. I hate that the only schools that have my major are ridiculously expensive (which my parents will not stop complaining about) But I guess it'll all be worth it when I'm a big name in the fashion industry. Well anyways now that you know what I've been up to, what are your new years resolutions?! Mine is to start saving more money to plan a summer trip to Europe :)

Look of the Day: December 16
Today's look is a lil' rockabilly chic! The denim vest and leather skirt are thrifted. The grey cardigan (worn underneath vest) is from Garage. The purple bodysuit was found at Urban Outfitters. The combat boots are from Steve Madden.. (I have them in brown too! sososo worth it!) The stockings are Betsey Johnson, and the purse is thrifted Anne Klein, and matches with absolutely everything in my closet. One of my favorite bags ever. OH! and the lipstick is Orange Flip by Revlon.
Please Note: Links will not take you to exact apparel shown above

Chunky Monkey
Well now that the weather is getting colder, everyone's bringing out the chunky warm snow boots.... but what am I bringing out? Well, let's just say that I like chunky... chunky HEELS that is! Not only are these shoes gorgeous, but they are also super comfy! (you can last the entire night out dancing in these bad boys.. without annoying blisters!) My current favorites would have to be the nude Munsch from Aldo, black leather Irina II from Bloomingdales, as well as the Gavin Platform from NastyGal. So while you're shopping for that super warm cashmere sweater next time you're at your favorite department store, don't forget to purchase a pair of chunky heels... because who says you can't rock heels in frigid weather!

So, Who Am I?
Welp. This is probably my second or third attempt at creating a blog I can actually keep up with, but I can promise you THIS will the blog I WILL keep up with! Audacitiés is my personal style mixed with inspiration blog, which will include random posts about art, music, fashion, and culture... OH! AND food and shoes... because they are my two absolute favorite things... but yeah I basically plan on posting anything my little heart desires, so I hope you find me interesting and worth the follow!
Hmmm so let's get into the background basics.. I'm a poor high school senior, soon to graduate and move onto art school in Brooklyn, New York. (hence me being poor...) I live for clothes, catchy beats, delicious food, and late friday nights. I spend every single penny I earn on my wardrobe, accessories, and makeup... which is pretty awful, but I really can't help myself.
I'm going to art school for fashion design, but that doesn't mean I want to be the next Alexander McQueen. I actually want to be more of an entrepreneur. I want to have my own clothing line, work for a magazine, be a photographer, host fashion shows, and write my own novels, on top of owning my own boutique. Sounds like a stretch right? Yeah, don't worry, I've heard it all before.. doesn't mean I'll stop trying.
I currently work at Marshalls, (which is a really shitty job by the way) but it's helped me learn all the well known and not so well known names and brands very quickly. (It's also helped me get pretty good discounts, which I can't complain about) But anyways, I plan on quitting very soon and moving to work at a less shitter job. I also have to quit soon because my portfolio is STILL NOT FINISHED, and I start college in less than six months. Yupp.. I'm fucked... I know.
So yeah.. did I mention I'm broke? Yeah, I believe I did.. but let me repeat myself.. I broke. Capital B R O K E. So now you're probably wondering how I got all my clothes, makeup and accessories right? Well... when I use to have a lot of money, I spent it all on those three things, and I didn't buy the cheap shit.. I went for the gold. Well, now everything I buy is insanely discounted, from a discounted retail store (Like Marshalls, TJMaxx, Century 21) or thrifted and vintage.
With everything said, I will try my hardest to blog as often as I can, but with my shitty job, working on my portfolio, and school I can't promise too much. No worries though, if I manage to squeeze in a social life, then there will be plenty of time for audacitiés, since I cause them all the time anyways! Haha!
